(1) How to use the interactive maps to search.
All listings can be filtered by location by just clicking on the area you would like to search. This approach lets you visually choose to either deal locally if your concerned about online transactions, or if you do choose to deal online, it allows you to determine shipping time if needed in a rush. This approach makes it much safer by putting the user in control by giving them a choice. All accounts have to choose a base US County to post. When a Ad is posted by that member, the Classified, Business or Website lisiting can be found at either the US map level, the members State map level & the members County map level. To go up a map level, just click the map located at the top of page.
Once you have chosen a Map level, you may then filter the results using the section buttons below. All section buttons and filters only apply to the current map level.
 
(2) How to create a account.
All accounts are completely free! To start posting, just click Join Now. Once done you will arrive at the login page. Enter a Valid email address and password on the right hand side under New Members, then select your home State and County. You may list your phone number if you would like another means of being contacted besides email, but phone number is not required. Once you click create login, a confirmation email will be automatically sent to the email address entered. Once received, click the link within the email to authorize your account. Once you confirm your email address, you may then start posting. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us from the email address submitted and we will confirm it for you.
(3) How to post a new Classified
Once you login, The Classified summary will come up, This is where all your Classifieds will show once posted. Click the New Post button on the top right of page to begin posting. Or click the Business tab to post a free Business listing.
When you click New Post, the following page will show. Fill out the form and then click All Done.
Things to remember when posting
Description and Details are searchable via text search within gocounty.com and by the major search engines.
Asking can only be numbers, if this does not apply, please enter 0
Please select only 1 Section for any single post. posting more then once for the same item is considered spam, posting solely to promote a Business or Website in the classifieds is considered spam. Spamming can get your account banned for 30 days.
(4) How to upload a photo.
Once your classified has been posted you can then click yellow Photo + button next to the classified you wish to upload a photo too.
Once you click the Photo + button, you will come to the upload page. Click Browse and select the .jpg photo from your computer, usually found under My Documents. Once the photo has been found, click open. A file path will show in the location field. Click Upload photo instantly now to upload the photo. This may take up to several minutes depending on connection speed. You may change a photo out at anytime.
(5) Questions and Answers.
 
Q: How long does my classified run for?
A: 180 days or longer if updated. Every time you update, your classified renews for 180 days.
 
Q: Why do I need to verify my email address?
A: We require that you verify your email address to limit Cons and Spammers. Your email address will not be given or sold to anyone.
 
Q: How long does it take for my classified to show in the results?
A: All classified posts and changes are instant!
 
Q: I made a mistake or I want to adjust price?
A: You may edit your classified at anytime by clicking the Update button next to the classified listed on the My Trader page.
 
Q: What if I sell it or the Classified is no longer needed?
A: You can instantly Cancel your Classified at anytime by clicking the Cancel button next to the Classified under the My Trader page! Once Canceled, it cannot be retrieved.
 
Q: If my classified actually fits under more then 1 section, can I repeat the post under all sections that could apply?
A: No, please only 1 post per item. please choose the section that best fits. more then 1 post for an item is considered spamming and can result in users account being banned for 30 days.
 
Q: My photo will not upload?
A: Is the photo in .jpg fromat? Is the photo less then 300k in size? Please check this and see if these are correct.
 
Q: I have posted a classified and know it will sell much quicker with a photo. What if I don't have a digatal camera or scanner, but still would like a photo with my classified?
A: You can send a sase envelope with photo and classified # with $5.00 to:

Q: What if I have a Business and I want to advertise my Inventory in the classifieds?
A: You may list all your Items with photos for free. When a classified is posted, all other classifieds listed by that member will show at the bottom of the classified detail page acting just like a free online store. You may also use the My Trader page as a Inventory tracking database. Please, only 1 item per post!
 
Q: What if I have a Business with Inventory (example: real estate, rentals, merchandise, autos and so on), but I do not have the time to post them myself?

Q: Why is it Free?
A: gocounty.com provides high traffic dedicated banner spaces that can pinpoint either local County, State or US web traffic. Banner spaces run from $149.99 (County) to $499.99 (Main page) a month. This allows small local Business with low advertising budgets to advertise to local customers for only $149.99 a month by placing a Banner with either a website link or a phone number in their home County. There are only 3 banners per County, so act soon, before their gone. All banners are dedicated spaces, they do not rotate as long as they are leased.
